CIRV Indigenous Authority Pty Ltd (ABN 22 698 270 576) respects the confidentiality of the information entrusted to it. This page explains what we collect and how we handle it.
Information we collect
Through this website, CIRV collects only the information you choose to provide through an enquiry or verification request form: your name, organisation, email address, telephone number where given, and the details of the enquiry or supplier concerned. We also collect anonymous, aggregated website usage statistics which do not identify individual visitors and do not use tracking cookies.
How we use it
Information submitted through this website is used to respond to your enquiry and, where an engagement follows, to deliver the agreed services. We do not sell information, and we do not pass it to third parties for marketing.
Where you request a supplier verification check, we use the supplier details you provide to conduct that check. We do not notify the supplier that an enquiry has been made unless you ask us to, or unless doing so is necessary to answer your question and you have agreed to it.
Confidentiality in engagements
Information provided in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential. Commercial information, contract details, subcontractor records and participation data are used only for the purpose of the engagement and are not disclosed to other clients or to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.
Where a conflict of interest would compromise the independence of an assurance opinion, CIRV declines the engagement. CIRV does not provide assurance over participation work it has itself managed or delivered.
Retention
We retain enquiry and engagement records for as long as necessary to deliver the services, meet professional and insurance obligations, and comply with applicable law. If you would prefer we did not retain the material submitted with a free verification request after we have responded, tell us and we will delete it.
Access and correction
You may ask what personal information CIRV holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to hadyn@cirv.com.au.
